It is quite symbolic that Viktor Yanukovich told in Germany that he was the foremost democrat in Ukraine and the best friend of mass media and, at the same time, they strangled TV channels “Channel 5” and “TVi” in Kiev. It somehow reminded me of ill times of USSR when soviet officials denied the existence of dissidents and “prisoners of conscience” and, at the same time, they put up people in prison even for samizdat (underground press). Real schizophrenia reigned inside the country, when almost every person learned the art of not seeing the things, which are not to be seen, since childhood. For instance, repressions and suppression of dissenting views. And seeing the things, which did not actually exist. For example – freedom. Thanks to Viktor Yanukovich and his “team” we are at a fact clip to return to that rotten time. Although….there is no “Radio Liberty” in Munich, and actually, the West is just fed up with fighting for our freedom, which is likely not necessary for us either.
It is wondrous quietness. The last free channels were wiped out but…the people have much greater concern on the buckwheat that disappeared from the shops. Yes, buckwheat is a very important thing. But… Freedom is a strange thing. It can be lost very easily and without being noticed. And the loss is then realized too late. At the time, when it is very difficult to regain the freedom.
Now everybody talks that they are the best friends of freedom, law and journalists. Yanukovich, Khoroshkovsky, Mogilev, German… But almost every day some journalist reported to be beaten, crippled or killed as it happened to Kharkov journalist Vasiliy Klimentyev. Sooner or later the number of these cases will grade into quantity. The journalists will just stop speaking and will write what is allowed to be written. A small thing? No, freedom starts with small things. One of my acquaintances said that Ukraine already did not need political technologies and experts in political PR. Because there are less and less politicians willing to participate even in local elections not on behalf of Party of Regions. Because “regional men” make such offers to these politicians, “which they cannot refuse”. And it is not always money that decide but the threats. So we are moving faster and faster to political monopolarity in the country. We are on our way to CPSU, KGB and newspaper “Pravda”. I care currently much of the destiny of the Party of Regions. I feel anxious about this party. There is now so much disagreement in it and it somehow constrains the country sliding to totalitarity. But the logic of events prompts that the Party of Regions is close to the “night of long knives”. That some other group will win, which will destroy the enemies inside the Party of Regions first of all and then it will get tastefully to the whole country. And it is not for sure to be the group of Akhmetov. It is paradoxic but the fan of “Shakhtar” football team and Donetsk, Akhmetov looks now more of a patriot than the group of “rootless gas cosmopolitan” named after comrade Firtash. The mousy persons are always much terrible and dangerous than the former bandits. “Grey mouths of haberdashers” like Levochkin, Boyko, Khoroshkovskiy are much more dangerous than mobs. Therefore, the same “grey” majority will follow them.
By the way, if someone has a hope that modern technologies, Internet, will not allow “crackdown” in the country – then it is in vain. Technologies are quite good for using them in limiting freedom as well. We have been for instance under DDoS attack for the second week already. They do it strongly and not dully. Most of these “chatterbots” are not from abroad as they used to be but from Ukraine, from “Ukrtelecom” network. May be it is just buggers muddle? Ukrtelecom guys do not protect their users from chatterbots? May be. It may be as well that under the lee of buggers muddle they practice the technology of “mopping-up” of information space. The organizational unit engaged in DDoS attacks was created quite long ago already at SBU (Security Service of Ukraine). Judging by the nature of attack they are developing the skills. Not without help of Russian “experts”. Furthermore, they involved Mogilev into this business. “Ministry of Internal Affairs develops regulatory framework that will allow limiting access to the web-pages with illegal content.
These were the words of the Minster of Internal Affairs, Anatoly Mogilev, in his interview to Ligabusinessinform.
“To deal with such web-sites as “VKontakte.ru” on which there are a lot of pornography and other illegal materials we need while making hard legal decisions”, — he said.
“Many web-sites are, unfortunately, problematic to block. If me, for instance, I make a decision and block, let us say, hundreds of web-sites — what fact will it point to? To the offence of freedom of speech. Therefore, we have to adopt legislative acts, which could prohibit the activity of suchlike web-sites”,- he added.
According to Mogilev, they studied best practice of neighbouring countries at MIA on combating dealing similar phenomena.
“We progress very intensively. So very soon, we will initiate the adoption of legal framework, which will allow limiting access to such web-sites”,- he said.
Ukrainskaya Pravda Internet publication”.
Well, of course, our police has no other problems to tackle as combating pornography on the web. Along comes their idea to adopt legislation. That is the guys of Mogilev will post a link of porno-site at our forum, then they will register it — and will lawfully “block” it. Well, plenty of ways can be invented. If there is a will there is a way you know. And the problem is not that current power “gang” attempts to arrange “silence of the lambs” for us. But the problem is that we are silent and do fundamentally nothing. And at the time we purchase buckwheat, they purchase handcuffs. The gags they already have.

Please watch, you’ll learn a lot! May be fortunatelly or may be not a majority does not analise a situation. “Popsa”, like “vkontakte” existed all the time. The point is, let us not allow any trash to substitute the important things. Kind regards to Stanislav
